Wild South Cliff & Forest Hike
An easy guided hike along the wild south coast: Gris Gris, La Roche qui Pleure, waterfalls and a natural pool.
Walk the untamed south coast of Mauritius: volcanic cliffs above the Indian Ocean, rivers, forest, secluded beaches and waterfalls, with time to dip into a natural pool.
Highlights include the Gris Gris viewpoint, La Roche qui Pleure, Gris Gris waterfall and Mamzelle waterfall. The trail is mostly gentle, with two short steeper sections.

What to bring
- Hiking or sports shoes with good grip (no open-toe shoes)
- Comfortable sportswear and a light rain jacket
- Sunscreen, a hat and insect repellent
- At least 1.5 litres of water per person (mandatory)
- A light snack (cereal bar or fruit)
- Swimsuit and towel (optional)
Not suitable for pregnant women, children under 10, or people with knee or arm problems, limited mobility or serious medical conditions.
