The Markets & Shopping Day – Port Louis Market, Quatre Bornes, Floreal Outlets

8 hours

Easy

A private car for a day of markets and outlets — Port Louis Central Market and the Caudan craft market, the Quatre Bornes textile market on Thursdays and Sundays, Floreal's cashmere and knitwear outlets, and Bagatelle Mall if you want air-conditioning.

Mauritius makes textiles for brands you know, and sells them here for a fraction of the price. This is a private car and driver for a day of markets and outlets, with the boot free for the bags.

Start at the Port Louis Central Market for spices, vanilla, rum and the craft stalls, cross to Caudan for the craft market, then up to Quatre Bornes (Thursday and Sunday market days) for textiles, or to the Floreal outlets for cashmere, knitwear and model ships any day of the week. Finish at Bagatelle Mall or back at your hotel — your call. The driver knows which stalls are the real factory outlets and which are not.
