Accompanied by members of staff, visitors join the team at the heart of the Beau Plan

plantations. They discover sugar cane in the field, learn how to cut it and gain a better

understanding of this ancestral craft that has marked the island’s history.

Did you know that a single stalk of sugarcane can produce up to 20 litres of juice,

from which about 2kg of sugar are extracted?

After the cutting, visitors continue their experience with a tour of the museum,

To round off the experience, each visitor makes his or her own tropical cocktail at a

mixology workshop.
